gotta be late now
my footsteps grout the streets
makes the neighbourhood whole
its nothing to behold
still i'm proud to be one of those NEET's
i'm the kind to get to know you
see what i can get then il disown you
find me on the corner standing in the shade where the industries lost only i've got stuff to trade and i'll wait right here
at least for now its all over
thought you were looking over
just never came through
boys have their backs to stop all of the attacks
now we're caged in bars and the lions feared what became true
don't think i meant to do you
now we'll never really know
you said "shake on it for now"
but i never wanted you to take that home
stacking shelves til nine to get ahead
when i left behind all that caused me dread
and i didn't know
that i could grow
messages stuck in my head
"new beginnings wont be mislead"
so i got away from you for a little while
taking the time to find my new style
think i'll do my time
consider me just fine
said i was out of line
so i never thought that you would still be mine
i've learned a thing or two across the sea of bricks where me and you were taken away by systemic pulses in the trees around an estate built on council fees no one could show us out so we never got out but its ok cos theres some else out there doing worse anyhow.
